6 Weeks of Insanity!

Sorry to all of you that I’ve been M.I.A for the past few weeks.  I was preparing to “debut” The Sew Chic Mommy at our local bargain fair and I was literally attached at the hip to my sewing machine.  The poor thing was getting a workout of an average of 6-10 hours of sewing per day!   The bargain fair was last Saturday, and it seems that the hard work did pay off.  I was really pleased with the response of many people to the items that I made and displayed, and honestly was just happy that all of my hard work was validated by their positive responses!

Here is a run down of EVERYTHING that I’ve been making over the past 6 weeks for the fair:

20 pillowcase dresses

5 Ruffle Butt Rompers

10 Ruffle Butt Diaper Covers

5 Tank Top Dresses

2 Chenille Heirloom Quilts (including one chevron quilt that is AMAZING!!)

5 Car Seat Chest Strap Covers

5 Car Seatbelt Covers

5 Diaper Clutches

5 Suspenders and Tie Onesies

3 Nursing cover gift sets

3 pairs of little boy pants

3 Cross over pinafore sets

18 key chains

1 Maternity Hospital Gown

1 Bubble romper with smocked insert (this was the LAST item I made before the sale, and I was sewing it until midnight the night before!)

Not to mention, I was still taking custom orders and making lots of other items!  Took this past week off for the most part to give my hands and my machine a break, but I will be back at it again this week to get an outfit ready for Alex’s first birthday party…

Here are some pictures of the debut of The Sew Chic Mommy- thanks for your support!!559935_10151441596266597_171232729_n
